Cade Wolf
Cade Wolf
This a the character I had to create for my advanced modeling class, Cade Wolf. For this assignment, we had to create a character in 1 weeks time. That is, make up who they were, a history for them, looks, personality, the works. Then the rest of the class, basically, was to create him in 3d, using MAX of course. I spent about 9 weeks modeling it, 4 days texturing it, and about 2 measely days boning, skinning, and animating it. The animation is.. awful, plus MAX's skin modifier messed it up royally, but enough about that, go see Cade!

After doing cade in 3d, I never used him again, for ANYTHING. Until this picture, that is.
This was also my first shot at drawing a werewolf. I really had fun ripping up the clothes, and giving the drawing that sense of force behind it. I always had Cade by himself, so this was fun to have him use that chain for SOMETHING finally. I may put a background in this sometime.. but we'll see.
I realized when reworking this page, that I didn't even have the first drawing of Cade ON here! Feeling stupid, I just grabbed it and stuck it up here.
As you can see, very little has actually changed from how he turned out. This was one of those concepts that I nailed on my first try. Funny enough, All I did to make Cade was take this spear I drew, and make a character that could and should use it. So really.. the SPEAR is Cade's origin! Even if he uses the whip and dagger more..
Inking Cade- as rarely as it happens, actually tends to yeild really nice results. Mostly because he's such a dark character to begin with.. the style seems to enhance that. Or, such is my guess.
