It's pretty obvious whats going on here. One thing that I always do is save my layers version of any graphic I made, that way, if I want to go back and add or alter something, it's extremely easy. So since I have the main title graphic as layers, I could go back and add the lights on the background, under the text. Then overlay some snow, which turned out so well, that I used again on the NL Pic.
Also, since I'm usually taking it easy over x-mas, it's a "belated" merry x-mas. Since I didn't get back to the guild stuff until maybe 5 or 6 days past Christmas.

I love seeing how many different ways I can alter these pics.. It's alot of fun. Lots of scariness going on here! So whats the holiday? Halloween! Lots of smoke overlays and such, also. And lots of blurs (all kinds) In that NL graphic. If you look in the sky, I actually burned in ghosts there too. It's hard to see, but if you look right above the "e" in "The", you can see a face in the sky. There are others scattered around up there.

This was an easy one to do, and it's for Easter of course, because it's an egg! Again, since I have it as layers I could manipulate all the parts of the pic separately. The background was just using polar coordinates and then blending out the seam, and then I took the top text and spherized the whole thing. And thats really about it!

The only holiday graphic using the old guild title! This is easier than you might think. The whole thing is extruded (stylize-extrude) with blocks, size of 2, and depth of something really high, like 200. And that goes it that blast look. Then I went around and lit different parts with lighting effects (render-lighting effects). But I could have also selected random parts and used Hue/Saturation-colorize. At the time though, I didn't know about that.

A different take on the blast effect this time around. I honestly don't even remember how I did that. But to get the rainbow look I just overlayed a layer with a rainbow gradient on it.
Now, for that NL graphic, there is ALOT of stuff going on. I used this filter called "constellation" which turns anything you select into stars, basically. And thats how I made the various fireworks. Using radial blurs to get that bast effect. And then hue/sat to light things in the scene. And a few tiny lens flares here and there for the hot parts. This is definitely one of my favorites. I came home right after seeing this awesome fireworks show and worked on it for about 4 hours. I was just inspired!

And then, the April fools pic. A play on words for sure, It was partly inspired by my friend's idea, and partly because I made typos sometimes and said "bacon" instead of "beacon" and thought it was funny. So I ran with it! This particular April fools, I tricked lots of people into thinking this "bacon god" was taking over, and had brainwashed Fox. It was a big spoof on religious cults. I thought it was TOTALLY obvious It was a joke, but lots of people fell for it! I mean, isn't the fact I MADE this graphic, enough of a hint that I'm kidding?
For 2002, we pretended that I quit the guild and gave it to Devlin (Vic) who was a real hardass and kicked just about everyone out.. But for 2003, I needed something else. The thought came to me to do a dark spoof. Fox HAS an evil side to him, so this would work out nicely. SO many people were used to me messing with them though, that I didn't get as many to fall for it. Still, I made this up. Fox's "bloody talons" get it? I even made this while I was sick as hell! So it's not as good as it COULD have been. but, it works.

Yup, April fools again.
This one was to go back more towards something totally out there, but still not as out there as "the Holy Bacon".
Basically, I joked that Fox turned into Foxy (a female form, mostly famous during BotS) and that *I* got a sex change. So everything was going to go female power and the men of the guild were turned into sex slaves, and etc. Crazy? Yep, but that was the point! I was still able to trick some people, but most of them saw through me as usual =(
