This was an assignment that was actually sent in for a 3d contest on a site called 3dluvr.com. I think about 160 something people entered, and I ranked 92, Not too bad for a first go.. The assignment was to make some sort of jewelry, with a recognizable stone. So heres a ring, with an onyx stone, on some blue cloth. SImple, effective, and decent looking! |
This here, like all of these pictures at the moment, is something from my "Advanced texturing" class. Obviously, the focus is going to be how things are textured, and the objective is to go for photorealism. This picture, I personally don't think is photo-realistic, but It's damn good just the same. I was told this looks like something out of unreal, or quake. It's just some industrial basement. The assignment was to make some sort of dirty, nasty scene. If you cruise over to the drawn backrounds, found here And you can see the sewer thingy I drew way back in quarter 4, that turned into this. |

I don't really like this.. but, eh.. It was an assignment to create some outdoor mountian scene. The bump wouldnt work right, so instead of looking rocky and stuff.. it looks more like sand.. blah.. |
This however, I am VERY happy with. Once again, if you know anything about 3d programs, this was done with all "procedural maps". If you don't know what that is, don't sweat it. The only thing that isnt that, is the reflection, which is a bitmap. But Man, for 4 hours of work.. total, I'm pretty happy with this. |
