The Tomcat
During my 4th MAX class, the last project of the class was to make a realistic vehichle/machine of my choice, and model, texture, light and animate it. The model was deamed best in the class by my teacher, the texture is okay, but the animation was AWFUL! be happy you cant see it, because it was terrible. So instead of showing clips of that, I just have many different angles of my plane. The first row is about 3 weeks into it, just the model, no textures. and the last row, is the final version, fully textured. And heres why the animation sucked... 3 weeks to model it.. 4 days to texture.. and.. TWO DAYS to animate! 45 seconds worth at that, because it had a voiceover and I needed it to match. So I hope you can understand the problem. Still, the Model's great! enjoy!
First try at the Tomcat, 1 quarter earlier. With nothing for reference except my little plane I had on my desk
Same thing, with a super reflective texture for no reason!
Front type view of it.
Side view. That tail design was actually scanned straight out of the book so I could match it exactly.
Top View. It's easier to see all the detail put into the textures with this shot, because alot of it was put on the top of the plane.
And finally, the bottom view. Something I didn't HAVE to do, but chose to, to complete the aircraft, was model all the weapons it has. Pheonix missles and whatnot. And it definitely makes it a more complete, and believeabe, Tomcat.
